Microneedling + PRP/PRF

Rejuvenate your skin with the power of your own biology

At Mercure Concierge Medical Clinic, we combine advanced microneedling with your own growth-factor rich plasma (PRP) or fibrin (PRF) to activate your skin’s regenerative capacity—minimizing fine lines, improving texture, and restoring a smoother, firmer, more radiant complexion.

Why Choose Microneedling + PRP/PRF?

  • Stimulates collagen and elastin production using your body’s natural healing mechanisms.

  • Minimally-invasive; safe for all skin types and tones.

  • Targets multiple skin concerns: fine lines, acne scars, uneven tone, laxity.

  • Combines microneedling micro-channels with platelet growth factors for enhanced repair and longer-lasting results.

How It Works

  1. Consultation & skin prep — We assess your skin, medical history and aesthetic goals. A topical numbing cream is applied for comfort.

  2. Microneedling phase — A medical-grade device creates precise micro-channels in the skin, initiating a controlled regenerative response.

  3. PRP/PRF application — We draw a small sample of your blood, spin it down to separate platelets/fibrin, then apply (or inject) this biologic concentrate into the treated zones to deliver growth factors directly.

  4. Regeneration phase — Your skin responds by remodeling: new collagen forms, blood flow improves and texture refines. Results continue over 2-3 months.

What the Treatment Looks Like

  • Duration: ~90 minutes

  • You’ll have temporary redness, possible minimal pinpoint bleeding or warmth immediately after

  • Most patients return to normal activity in a day or two, although we ask for light precautions (see after-care)

Benefits You’ll Notice

  • Smoother skin texture and smaller pore appearance

  • Diminished appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

  • Reduced visibility of acne scars or other surface irregularities

  • Brighter, more even skin tone

  • Firmer, more resilient skin due to collagen remodelling

After-Treatment Skin Care & Recovery

First 24 Hours

  • Keep treated area clean & dry.

  • Apply only the products we provide.

  • Expect mild redness/swelling and possibly tiny dots of bleeding.

  • Use cold compresses 10-15 min if needed.

  • Avoid: Touching/picking skin, makeup, exercise/sweating, hot showers/saunas/steam, direct sun exposure.

Days 2-7

  • Transition to gentle skincare: fragrance-free cleanser, provided healing serum 2-3× daily, mineral sunscreen (SPF 30+), fragrance-free moisturizer.

Week 2 & Beyond

  • Resume normal skincare gradually (we’ll guide you).

  • Continue daily sun protection.

  • Results begin to appear (~4-6 weeks) and continue improving over 2-3 months.

FAQs

Q: How painful is it?
Most describe discomfort as mild-to-moderate—like “light sandpaper” on the skin. We apply topical numbing cream beforehand.

Q: When will I see results?
Initial texture improvement within 1-2 weeks. Significant collagen-driven changes in 2-3 months.

Q: How many treatments are needed?
A typical series is 3-4 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart for optimal results.

Q: Can I wear makeup afterward?
We recommend waiting at least 24 hours before applying makeup to allow the micro-channels to close fully and reduce infection risk.

Q: Is this safe for all skin types?
Yes — since it uses your own biology (PRP/PRF) and mechanical microneedling rather than pigment-targeting lasers, it is safe for all skin types and tones.

Q: What’s the difference between PRP and PRF?
PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) contains a higher concentration of growth factors and releases them more slowly than traditional PRP, which may yield longer-lasting regeneration.

Q: Can I exercise after the treatment?
We recommend avoiding intense exercise for 24 hours to reduce sweating and the chance of irritation or infection.

Q: Will my skin peel?
You may experience mild peeling or flaking 3-5 days after treatment—this is a normal part of the healing process.
